Praline Workshop in the Chocolate Museum
Location: Cologne
Date: as requested
Participants: maximum 10 people
“Bon! Bon!" cried the ladies of the rococo as they tasted the sweet titbits for the first time which the personal chef of the Conte du Plessy-Praslin had prepared for the courtly reception of his master. Bon-Bon. With that, the name for the new delicacy was born. The bonbon or ‘praliné’ quickly became the special favourite of the big confectioneries and sugar bakeries which adopted the new invention and attempted to outdo one-another with the most ingenious variations.
Take a trip back into the footsteps of the ‘great masters’ of the art of pralines and, under the instruction of a ‘chocologist’, create your own hand-made delicacies according to your tastes and creativity. You will create approximately 200 g of these “Bon-Bons” which can be sweetly packaged and brought home to be eaten or given as gifts!
