Schlossshotel Lerbach Cooking School under the patronage of Dieter Müller
Dieter Müller, three-star chef and patron of the restaurant of the same name at the Schlosshotel Lerbach, Bergisch Gladbach, opened a cooking school on 25 January 2005 with hotelier Thomas H. Althoff and the two luxury kitchen partners Gaggenau and Poggenpohl.
At Schloss Lerbach a fantastic cooking studio awaits ambitious hobby cooks and gourmets. Equipped with all the best in modern kitchen technology and innovative design, it not only offers stimulation for bodily wellbeing but also ideas on how to equip one’s own kitchen. The functionality of the Gaggenau appliances, combined with the perfect kitchen architecture from Poggenpohl, offers guests and professionals an environment in which it is a joy for body and soul to profit from the master chef Dieter Müller and to conjure up menus together.
The cooking school at Schlosshotel Lerbach is the only cooking school run by a three-star chef to offer a permanent programme of courses and was opened at a time when cooking as a shared experience was advancing more and more as a trend.
With the cooking school, Dieter Müller is fulfilling a longstanding dream – after receiving so many awards – of being able to pass on his knowledge and experience to his guests.
The high quality standards of the Relais & Chateaux Schlosshotel Lerbach, which since its opening in 1992 has been found time and again in the top ranks of the German hotel landscape, correspond perfectly with the definition of quality, service and customer orientation upheld by the two premium partners Gaggenau and Poggenpohl.

The cooking school programmes run from Sundays to Fridays and offer an insight into a wide variety of topics such as “Herbs and aromatic cooking” or “Young goat’s meat, lamb and goat’s cheese”

The cooperation of the Dieter Müller cooking school with the Cologne Institute for Dietology “S-Lust” is brand new. Together they are offering cooking courses of a particular kind, in which the latest findings from the area of nutritional science as well as metabolic findings are presented. The original menus from Dieter Müller are prepared in such a way that they are optimally aligned to the metabolism and do not cause weight gain – without affecting the masterly creativity and high quality of the meals. These cooking courses are available from € 395.
